Your Teacher

Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing music with children and families!

All Toddlin' Town Arts teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

Director & Instructor

Kelsey discovered Music Together 9 years ago while living in the DC area and has never looked back. A native of Idaho, Kelsey graduated from Weber State University in Utah with a bachelor’s degree in musical theatre. While at university, she studied music theory, vocal performance, acting, and multiple dance genres. A talented vocalist, actor, and dancer, Kelsey has since worked in theatres all over the country, performing in close to 50 lead and supporting roles, as well as serving as director and vocal coach.

When she isn’t performing on stage, Kelsey has had the wonderful opportunity to instruct children of all ages in music, art, theatre, and dance. Trained and educated in choreography, improvisation, piano, and ukulele, she draws on her artistic background to create an engaging and imaginative learning experience for her students.

Kelsey is very excited and grateful to now have her own Music Together center in Eastern Idaho. Her mother and father often claim that she was singing before she could talk, and dancing before she could walk!  Kelsey is honored to now be able to nurture this love of the arts in children in Music Together classes.

Marissa has always had a flair for the dramatic. Her love of singing and storytelling started at a
young age and grew into a lifelong passion for performing and teaching.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance from Idaho State University and a master's
degree in Opera Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College. A versatile
singer, Marissa has performed professionally in opera, oratorio, choral works and musical
theatre.

Marissa has been teaching private voice lessons for more than a decade and especially enjoys
working with young singers and helping her students find joy and confidence through music.
Marissa discovered the Music Together® program while studying in Boston and later completed
her teacher training in the Washington, DC area. She is passionate about the program as both a
parent and a teacher and loves creating fun, welcoming classes where children and their grown-
ups can sing and play together.

When she's not busy teaching, Marissa enjoys riding horses and playing with her adorable little
boys.
